COVID-19 – Sailing at Hastings and St Leonards Sailing Club

Outdoor activity, which includes sailing, is again permitted.  Like other leisure activities, sailing needs to be on our own or with members of our household.  Social distancing guidance remains in place.

While sailing is allowed, there continues to be no organised activities at our club.  This means our changing rooms, toilets and club house facilities remain closed.  There will be no support boat on the water so sailors need to take special care to sail only in conditions that are well within their capabilities.  Children may sail if they are accompanied on the water by an adult from their household.   Everyone is responsible for their own safety.

The changes that came into effect on Wednesday 13th May are a small step towards resuming the club’s activities.  Club officers are keeping the situation under review and will communicate changes to the current position as they occur.

We are always welcoming of new members.  If you would like to find out about joining the Hastings and St Leonards Sailing Club, please email
