Introduction to the classes
At Hastings we currently have fleets of the following classes, however all classes are accepted as long as they fit through the boat house doors (shearwaters and hobbies just make it through!) Currently our largest racing fleets are the Laser and Dart 16, closely followed by developing Merlin Rocket and Miracle fleets.

- Maverick (currently includes RS400, RS300, Mirror, Shearwater and Hobie 16
All of the above classes have their own separate start if they have 3 boats or more in the race to consist a start, with the 16;s first followed by the Laser, then the rest. The Merlin Rocket/Tasar/Magno combined, Miracle and the Maverick fleets are all covered by the Medium Handicap fleet captain and assistant.
