This week it was a bit warmer, with a force 4 winds coming from the south west. There were two Dart 16’s, eleven Laser Radials, a Laser 4.7 and a RS 700.
The Dart 16’s went off first Rob Hamilton and crew Tayla Playford won both races 7 & 8 in the Spring Series, from Richard Playford and crew Peter Sharrod. Matt Wiseman and T Alexander did not race today but still lead the series.
The Lasers went of next with Roy Sandford leading the way from Don Bowles and Steve Phillips, but Melanie Clark who finished 7th gained 3rd place on handicap with her 4.7 sail.
In race 8 the wind freshened at the start, but dropped towards the finish, Sandford again had a clear win, this time over Steve Clark and Mick Lane.
Race 9, Lane lead the way home from Steve Clark and Phillips, but Melanie Clark who finished 4th, pipped all of them on handicap.
