Patrol Boat - Induction for members with no prior experience

Open to members that have no previous powerboat experience. This 2 hour session that aims to introduce you to the powerboats and how they are used in the club. The session covers the following;

      - Lifting and lowering of new engine  * New procedure due to engine damage  
      - Checking and pumping boat sponsons.
      - Checking trailer, winch & tyre pressure.
      - Balancing the load in the boat for performance.
      - Checking safety kit, flares and repair kits etc
      - Fuelling.
      - Winching.
      - Paddling the powerboat off shore.
      - Bringing the powerboat back on shore and lifting the engine.
      - Dealing with basic engine faults.
      - Coiling and stowing anchors, warps, weights and buoys.
      - VHF boat/handheld radio 

The sessions are offered free of charge. Please book a ticket there are 4 on each session.
