RYA Stage 1 & 2 Youth Sailing Scheme

Hastings and St Leonards SC are pleased to announce a joint venture with Rye Watersports for the 2025 youth sailing programme. Youth will complete Stage 1 and 2 over two weekends at the Rye Watersports centre

Dates:
Introductory evening - Wednesday 30th April at Hastings & St Leonards SC
RYA Stage 1 and 2 - Saturday and Sunday 10/11 and 17/18 May 2025 Rye Watersports 
Youth Sessions - Wednesday evenings 4th June - 24th July Hastings and St Leonards SC

On completion of the course bespoke youth sessions will be run on Wednesday evenings from 4th June until 24th July. Those achieving Stage 2 will also have free use of club boats throughout the rest of the 2025 season and for our August Sea Week, ability dependent.  

Rye Watersports will provide wetsuits and buoyancy aids for the two weekends.  Buoyancy Aids are available at Hastings & St Leonards SC. 

The course of for age 10 years and above 

There is a minimum requirement of 25 metres swimming ability

When at Hastings & St Leonards Sailing Club youth must be accompanied by an adult - when booking tickets an associate membership will be generated and invoiced for the booking adult along with any youth places, any memberships purchased as part of training will not be subject to our usual joining fee.
