Published 8:24pm on 14 Dec 2025
RYA Level 1 & 2 combined sailing course. This is a 6 day course with the first 4 days being run at Buzz Active in Eastbourne. These days will take place either on a lake or on the sea, depending on conditions, and consist of the training required to achieve a Level 2. Trainees then return to Hastings & St Leonards Sailing Club for 2 days of training which will consist of an induction to the club, beach and boats and assisted sailing sessions led by instructors.
Please be aware that sailing is a physical sport and you are likely to fall in the water which will need you to be able to get yourself back into your own boat. There is also the need to get boats to the waters edge for launch and recovery. Although support and guidance is given with this please consider your ability to undertake this activity.
